A Girls’ Guide to Travelling Alone

I am so very proud and honoured to announce that A Girls’ Guide to Travelling Alone is now available on Amazon!

About a year and a half ago I became involved in this amazing project, submitting a piece I wrote called Rediscovering Me. Those of you who are familiar with my stories from the past two years probably already know there has been some underlying themes in my writing — mainly separation, divorce, finding myself, and travelling in Canada. This has been the foundation of most of my self-discovery stories since I began this blog. Rediscovering Me is no different, however it took some extra courage to write.

Through my participation in this project I became fast friends with the lady behind it all, Gemma Thompson. She’s been busting her butt to put this collection of stories together, and it’s been done not necessarily for profit, but to be able to share our voices with all of you. A lot of heart and hard work has been poured into this book, and I was flabbergasted to find out that Gemma decided to quote me in her introduction.

Please, please help support this project by downloading your copy through Amazon (for those of you without an e-reader, the book will be available soon through iTunes so you can download it to your iBooks). You’ll get an amazingly varied collection of stories from solo female travellers, including a piece by Gemma about her time in New York City during Hurricane Sandy.

This is my first foray into the world of published writing (aside from my beloved blog, of course), so be a champ and check it out.

Cheers, happy travels and happy reading! 😉
